hey jerry

My reasoning for going the unsecured loan route were for these reasons

: my price range is below mortgage minimums, with a unsecured I don't have to put anything down, no closing costs, and I can just include renovation costs in the loan.

Still not saying this is the best route just my reasoning right now.

Will take any advice

Thanks jonathan

I am in the process of getting my financing in order to purchase rental properties. I am speaking with a local credit union about getting a unsecured loan ($40000 or less)which should not be a problem in obtaining. My real estate attorney says I should look into a commercial loan because it does not affect your credit. Anybody have advice on this?

Thanks

Jonathan

So I am wondering what are the steps in being prepared for capital expenditures with your first property? Is having in between 6 and 8 thousand saved along with a certain percentage saved from rent each month a sufficient to be safe from unexpected expenditures?

Thanks

Jonathan

hey guys new member to bigger pockets. I am in the Montgomery/Prattville Al area. I am working towards getting my first property and would love to connect and learn from people near and far.

Jonathan

the meeting is at 6pm this upcoming Monday (21st)

Hey Montgomery Al and surrounding area investors, I spoke with one of the real estate investor club organizers for The Montgomery area recently and he wanted me to announce that they now meet at a new location, 120 dexter ave Montgomery AL (downtown Montgomery). They meet the third Monday of each month, so the 21st of March is the next one. As i am typing this I realized I forgot the time,I believe it's at 6 or 630 but once I get the correct time I will post it.

Thanks

Hope to see and meet some of you at the meeting

Hey I am trying to better understand how to "know your market". In Montgomery AL   Where I am looking to start investing there are so many neighborhoods in many different type of areas. What are some things that can be done to better understand / evaluate specific markets in a city?

Thanks

Jonathan
