Unless you plan to get a degree in medicine, law, engineering or some other "professional" degree it's my opinion that college is as much, if not more, about the experience then the actual physical degree. I have a degree and I'm very happy that I do. I'm fortunate that I get to use my degree in my day job because that's not the case for a lot of folks that go to college.  A big part of college for me was about the social experience of networking, making/meeting new people and learning to navigate the world as a young professional.  I attribute a big part of my personal development to that part of my college experience. Ultimately, in my opinion college will teach you to learn and think more critically and strategically. It will expose you to new ideas and ways of thinking.  I believe a good education will give you the tools and confidence to be an independent problem solver in today's world.  These are all good traits of a successful real estate investor but admittedly everyone's path to success is different.

At the end of the day a degree is one more tool in your tool box.  I say stay with it.  Oh and invest in real estate at the same time.  I wish I had.

Can anyone recommend a good part-time property manager in the Des Moines area?  I'm looking for someone local to help me with showings, move-in, move-outs, handling maintenance requests, ect. I handle all of my own leasing, rent collections. Looking for someone local, professional and reliable to help manage a small but and growing portfolio.

Thanks,

Josh

Does anyone have a good lawn care provider (basically mowing service) that they would recommend in the Des Moines area?
