Post: Success Path course with Tarek and Christina, worth $2000?

Escaped without spending any money. Really hard sell on their part. But I did feel like I needed a shower when I left. Tarek and Christina weren't like I thought was implied in their advertising. They are too busy filming more episodes and gaving anotger child.

They pitched the 3 day course at a reduced price of $2000 down from $5000 I think.

Then they pitched their taxlienbuyers.com club for $1200 I think down from some other overinflated cost.

Some people bought these and they even tried to peer pressure the rest of us into it.

I learned a couple of leads to look into.

Going to read my books I have already received and others that are coming in the mail. I have already learned more from BP than most of what they talked about.

So, a big thank you to the people on here!!

Tonight's research is on buying tax liens.

Sometimes this info is reflected on Zillow...but 9 times out of 10 it's not!

Let me know if you need more info!

What do you mean? I am confused who the closing attorney is.

Terminology is different in CA.

They do the Flip or Flop tv show on HGTV.

I'm attending a free session where they are advertising their 3 day course. Access to their private lenders who train you how to flip, wholesale and find the deals?

They promise to analyze the deal and money back guarantee.

Is this worth it?

In North Carolina the trustee attorneys provide a list of pre-foreclosures online for free.  The actual bid amount price isn't listed until a couple of days before the sale so you will need to keep an eye on the lists to see what's coming up for sale.

This gives you an opportunity to research a property using GIS information which tells you about the last sale, tax value, and lots of other good information.

Contact your banker, insurance agent, and closing attorney to get everyone ready to anticipate you being a successful bidder on the property.

Let me know if I can help!

Welcome to BP. The advise above is very good. Read, read and read some more. Consider buying a book or two. Some great ones recommended on here.

Love NC and the area.

Welcome Joe

We're looking at investing in NC but mostly in the western part near the TN border in the Smoky mountains.

Have you been in the NC area for your 20 years and how far west do you go?

Here's a link you may find useful.

A word to the wise, however, vacation rentals or "Air B&B's", the new trendy cliche of the day, are not always the most desirable investment for the unseasoned investor. Someone needs to be available 24/7 for repairs, disturbances, continual damage and maintenance, and theft, etc.

The reality is you better live close by, know the cops in the area (LOL!! Wait...........I do) or hire a good dependable management company who can rise to any occasion at anytime or both. Not trying to talk you out of it because it can be rewarding most of the time. But you do have to go into it with both eyes wide open.

Very informative article. Thanks for posting that link.

Any idea how I find out more about the state and occupancy taxes? How much to be charged and how they are remitted?

@Alexander Pezzutto

What is the best you have found that you are referring to?

There's such a wide array of what people use for Vacation Rental Properties, that the current classifications just don't work. For instance, people set up parks with camp trailers, mobile home, cabins, condos, houses, houseboats, etc.
