Earlier this year, I purchased a home where one of the units was vacant during inspection. After closing, my property manager took over and mentioned that there were several squatters and homeless people living on the property. The squatters engage in selling drugs and other illegal activities. My PM tried serving them 3 day notices but was unsuccessful. The health of the property is deteriorating and there is trash building up everywhere. My PM said that the situation is beyond the scope of their management and said it was too risky for them to manage the property. They referred me to another manager who said the same thing after a month of management. They both said that the situation is too dangerous for them to handle.
At this point I'm not sure what my options are. I'm willing to sell the property for a loss just to get this headache off my heads but I'm not sure if anyone will purchase it in the current condition. I'm really desperate and am struggling to stay afloat.
