In urgent need of an insulation contractor who can ideally insulate 2 walls from the exterior. He would remove a piece of vinyl siding, drill holes, and then fill the un-insulated walls from the outside. I'm getting condensation forming on a wall due to the temperature differential between the inside and outside.

Willing to pay $50 just for the referral if I end up using them.

I have a 3B 1B unit that is recently renovated that I am about to rent out. I was considering becoming eligible for sec8 based on the 2021 payment standards chart ($1620 for a 3B 1B), but I wasn't sure how common it is to actually receive the full rents listed in the payment standards table. Anyone with sec8 experience who can shed more light on this for a newcomer?

I’m a new landlord in the Aurora area.

5 months ago I had a crack in my building’s chimney flashing that was letting in water to a tenant’s unit whenever it rained. I got the crack repaired and the problem seemed resolved until today they reported the same issue.

I am going to get the original contractor who worked on the crack to check if his seal failed, but I am not entirely sure if this issue is due to the same source as last time.

I am looking for someone who could help better diagnose the cause of the issue. Not sure if there’s hole in the siding, roofing related, or if it’s a manifestation of the original problem.

For context, the water mitigation team that came out when the initial damage occurred 4 months ago was unable to locate the source—it was the roofer who repaired the flashing who said that was the issue. Because the issue did not reappear post the seal of the chimney flashing I assumed he was right.

Any contractor recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

First time landlord in Aurora IL, looking for a reliable plumber. The plumbing below my sink was improperly done leading to painfully slow drainage (takes days for the final inch of water to leave). Looking to get someone out as soon as possible as I have new tenant moving in.

Tenant water was getting backed up into shower. Plumbers came out and found sewer pipes were clogged with tree roots. Now I need a new line and am looking at ~12,000.

Any local (Aurora/Western Suburbs) contractor recommendations who may be able to do it for less?
