Those rap videos are too good, haha!! I think they might have pushed me over the edge to attend, despite my generally cheap nature...

Post: $2000/month in income to invest, starting from 0. What do YOU do?

Dearest BP Gurus,

How would YOU go about investing $2,000/month of income? Although each person's situation is different-and thus $2,000/month may be too high/low-I believe that if you're a new (or wannabe) real estate investor, and have solid income from your W2 job (or some other source of legal, regular income), a post of this sort can help tremendously.

Thoughts on strategies, insights, business plans, investment risk profiles, out-of-state vs. local, large markets vs. small, etc. are all welcomed.

So that we can all be on the same page, here are the parameters for the discussion:

Amount in savings: $0

Amount available to invest: $2,000/per month (or $24,000 at YE17)

Since this is BP, please keep it related to real estate!

@Jordan Norwood The BP community is awesome. After having been a part of a few law school forums during law school, I had given up on them entirely. They were filled with holier than thou types that were more trolls than anything else. In my admittedly limited time on the forums, I haven't seen a single troll. Everyone is extremely helpful, and don't mind showing you how to make money. Turns out it isn't just the knowledge, it's also the work ethic and perseverance that will get you to where you want to be. Good luck.

Denver Meetup, I've found you!! Looking forward to it, everyone. Great advice earns a beer on me (someone said $2 beers, right?)!
