Not very active here, but just saw the replies! Thank you so much!

Hi Everyone!

I am experimenting with renting out my furnished rentals with a minimum one month stay. Other than VRBO, Airbnb, Craigslist and Zillow, anyone have any good websites and or recommendations for advertising to people specifically looking for at least one month stays?

I have properties in Ventura, Ojai and Oxnard in California.

Thank you!

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. We look forward to checking out the different neighborhoods and of course the bars and restaurants!

Hey KC community!

My partner and I will be in KC this Thursday Apr 26 thru May 01 and looking to meet likeminded investors during our downtime from looking at 4 plexes and apartments. We have a bit of experience investing in Illinois, Texas, Oregon, and California and would love to share ideas and network.  Coffee, Tea or Drinks on us!

In addition, if anyone knows of a good property manager, that will be super helpful.

We hear the food in KC is outstanding and can't wait to try all the local eats!

Hi John! Thanks for the reply. My urgent project is in Avondale and I have some other tuckpointing to do which is less urgent in Logan Square. If he or anyone else you know might be available, will be greatly appreciated!

Hi group! Can anyone recommend a reliable and affordable contractor who specializes in tuckpointing and other masonry related work in the Chicago area? I own a 2 story brick building that needs a lot of maintenance! Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

My first real post on here and the responses are super helpful! This community is awesome. It seems like the experts agree to keep it in a LLC, which is likely what I will do. I think I need to stop penny pinching and look at the big picture. Thank you all again!

Hi!

Need some advice. I own several 2-4 unit multi-family buildings in the Chicago areas with loans, but the banks are starting to question why the title has changed from my personal name to a Series LLC. Not only is this bothersome, but insuring any property in Chicago with a LLC is very expensive. On average, its at least $300-500 more expensive for just having a building titled in a LLC. In addition to this cost, I have the LLC annual cost and the headache of having separate LLC bank accounts for each property. So, for all the extra costs for having a LLC for supposedly extra legal protection, is it really worth it?

All in all, I have a great property management company looking after the building and my buildings are well maintained. Risk is always there, but I try my best to minimize them as best possible. With the slim chance I get sued, how likely is that a LLC will be able to withstand the pressures of a attorney who is super motivated to squeeze every penny out of me?

My cash flow is tight these days and considering taking my buildings out of a LLC. Your advice will be greatly appreciate! Thanks! Johnny

Hi Everyone,

I just joined BiggerPockets and very excited to get back into real estate investing in California.

Up until now, I have been investing in mainly 2-4 unit multi-family buildings in Chicago, but now that I have moved to Ojai I am looking to purchase a fixer upper for my primary residence and as well a rental building in the Ventura area.  Now that I am new to the area, it would be great to meet new people and network with those in this industry.

I have my real estate license in both Illinois and California and was hoping if anyone can recommend a successful broker that I can work for as a agent.

Thank you!

Johnny
