I just completed my first year at New York University as a master of real estate graduate candidate. I’ve been interested in pursuing internships/jobs in development to gain real-world and applicable experience for the remainder of my program.

Prior to NYU, I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut School of Business with a BSc in financial management. I also have worked a variety of jobs, including working for an excavating contractor, a municipality, and as a assistant project manager for a contractor.

As I now live in New York, I’m hoping to get any insight to how I can increase my chances of landing a role at a development shop in the city. I’d love to hear some stories from people in the industry to see how they achieved their goals, and also welcome any advice to increase my chances.

Best,

JJM
