Hi everyone!

I'm new to this forum and over the next few years I plan to get into real-estate, more specifically multi-family properties and eventually larger commercial properties.

My current background is in tech & marketing....I hire people to build and sell apps for businesses. I'm currently building a portfolio of apps using some concepts that apply to RE. For example, I'll build or buy apps with a buy and hold approach. It's all pretty basic stuff. If I continue then I  expect to have an app portfolio valued at around $200k-$500k within the next 2-3 years. At that point I will take some of the money and move offline into RE (if it doesn't happen sooner).

I also have a really good tech idea that can provide a lot of value to this industry. But I don't really know enough about the industry to even consider the idea yet.

That brings me to a question.

If I really want to learn the ropes of RE, whether it's to invest on my own or build a product that helps everyone, what is the best way to get involved?

I have considered looking for reale-state jobs so I can really immerse myself in the industry, but I don't even know where to begin and I'm not sure if my tech/marketing background can really help me land a job.

I'm located just 10 minutes outside of Philly so I'm sure that there is a lot of opportunity here.

Any advice?
