Stephanie Garcia Mark Nolan thanks for the warm welcome guys. Much appreciated. Gordon Cuffe thanks for the advice. I was thinking the same thing. I would like to think I'm a self starter but it can't hurt to have a good training program for my first year at least.

This is a very good post. @Brennen Cook i'd like to connect with you if thats okay. I am almost in the same boat as you. I am still working on getting my license and I would like to see how others start out with their RE license.

@Jonathan Epstein @Derek Jones great info! I will be looking more into those companies. I was really thinking about hanging my license with KW when I get my license. I NOW understand that there are some high fees involved but as a new agent, I think it would be best to roll with a company that provides training. What do you guys think? I am not so sure I can just hit the door running without any help from the company. Then again, Im really new at this and lack a substantial amount of knowledge. I'm hoping to find more posts on BP similar to this one and network more.

Hello BP members,

My name is John and I live in the Sacramento area. I am extremely new to the RE industry. I've only begun to start the ball rolling on getting my RE license. I do plan on being a RE agent to earn some income that I can use later on to invest in some rental properties. I have not yet chosen a company to hang my RE license with but if there are any agents out there that could recommend the best place to start, please do so! Also, if you would like to share your experiences on your first few months/years as a RE agent/investor , I would greatly appreciate it. I'm here to pick the brains of the experienced ones and hopefully I can pass it on later on in my journey.
