LOL, yes it does.  Even the old (now decommissioned) SR-71 isn't as fast as time.

Has the area recovered from the Spotted Owl fiasco?

Where have you been for the last 30 years?   That was 1990.  A lot has happened since then.

And since there was never any logging in Ocean Shores, those regulations never affected that town.

STRs in Ocean Shores are challenging - the city has rules against STR in most of the city and they are actively working on enforcement (more than they used to). Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to discuss it more.

I don't know what the rental statistics are for Oyhut Bay but it is one of the few areas in Ocean Shores that is legally zoned for vacation rentals.  I think you may be limited to using their in-house vacation rental manager at Oyhut Bay.  In general, Ocean Shores is a great place to live and a great place to vacation, but the strict short-term rental restrictions do limit the investment options.

@Brandon Turner lived in Montesano actually - but is currently living on Maui, I believe.  However, he still would know the area and continues to have investments in this area.

Aberdeen is trying hard to turn around.  There's a lot of people like myself who work in the area (I'm a real estate broker) and we're doing what we can do make it a better area. I know that self-storage places do tend to be quite full and probably profitable in the area.

I do not believe that Aberdeen is an opportunity zone (it should be).

There is old company information stored somewhere in my profile -- that I can't find and change. It still shows me at a brokerage I left about a year ago.

On my profile page, I get the message "It looks like you have a company associated to your account. Add your company to your profile by creating a company profile. It only takes a couple minutes, we promise."

I'd love to do that, but when I click the button, it prompts me to create a company profile for the wrong company.

While I am a real estate broker here in Grays Harbor, I choose not to self-manage my rentals (because I've done property management and I just don't like doing it).  I work with Cindy Barr at First Harbor Real Estate and she's been really good for me.

For my new brokerage and REI companies, I need some decent legal and accounting advice (as well as a referral to a good day-to-day bookkeeper that can follow the CPA's instructions. Grays Harbor area.
