@Jay Helms that’s great advice! The more I interact with real estate professionals I get more & more FOMO! Not exactly sure what a mastermind, but I would love to join one in KC, how would you recommend I find one?

Awesome to see others in the same boat as me! Francisco, I've been in a similar boat through "learning on the sidelines" passively. I'm ready to take action and learn and connect with others looking to grow! Thomas, I just moved to KC about 6 months ago and looking to learn this market and connect with people in the area. We need to grab a drink sometime, talk real estate, and take some drives through different areas in KC.

Great advice! "Learning" from the sidelines is what I've been doing in real estate so far. I'm a structural engineer and problem solving is basically the name of the game. That's why I am excited about real estate and have changed my focus from just making a buck to building long-term wealth and learning and enjoying the process along the way!

Waiting till the “perfect” timing to enter.

I’ve always grown up with the mindset to buy assets over liabilities. I know real estate is a great way to build wealth. One thing stopping me is wanting to be “perfect” with my first buy. Too much time looking for the 100% winning method, instead of learning the game.

My goal is to really learn the fundamentals over the next 6 months & network more in the Kansas City area. I hope I can get a mentor in the area and work under them for free to soak in his or her’s experience & purchase my first property within a year.
