Post: Renting out a handicap accessible home

Hello all, looking at a 2 family home that is handicap accessible on the main floor. Previous owner was in a wheelchair. This would be my first investment property. I am trying to weight the pros and cons in my head. Does anyone have experience with this? I am thinking it is a niche market for who would need it, so possibly difficult to rent. However maybe this would command a premium, and perhaps the renter would appreciate it and not destroy it, (I've heard/read so many horror stories of bad tenants destroying properties)as well as pay their rent on time and stay for a long time to come.

Advice/feedback anyone?

@Tim Lindstrom did you end up purchasing thing property? If so did it command a premium for getting it rented since it was handicap accessible?
