I’ve research around but I’m getting answers that beat around the bush.

So, my name is John Robert Crone II, I have been called Rob from birth. When advertising my RE business, is it ok to put Rob Crone (Business cards, social media, etc.)? Honestly, if someone calls out to me as John I probably wouldn’t even notice it was for me or I would start looking for my Dad (John) lol.

My family is currently stationed overseas and I recently obtained my Virginia RE License and about to have my Florida RE License. I know quite a few RE Agents in Virginia and Florida, so I was wondering if being a referral agent would work for me until I get back to the States a year from now. If this sounds like a good option for me, could anyone recommend a company to work with? I haven’t research nearly enough about being a referral agent and not even sure if I could do this only by social media advertising. Thanks for anyones comments and/or suggestions.

@Wayne Brooks, But inactive or active, a valid RE license is still a valid RE license. I was hoping to get my name out there to friends and family so when the time comes I would already have people thinking of me. If it would get me one lead right from the get go would be better then half the agents starting off that takes months to get a lead.

I’m also thinking of hanging my license with an brokerage that deals mainly with investing agents with low fees just for the perks of my investing business.

I recently received my RE license, but I had to place my license as inactive status for the next 12 months due to being stationed in Germany. Can I still put RE as a Profession in social media, if so how should I describe it? Or, do I have to be active status with a brokerage to do so? Thanks for anyone’s input.
