Hello,

I am just starting to explore the idea of purchasing a rental property. I have a mutual connection that is suggesting I use a home equity loan on my primary residence for a down payment on a duplex. Is this a viable option to consider or are there other financing options I should be thinking about? What are some things that should be considered?
