All, I can attest that @Denise Evans is a tax property expert in Alabama, and she has a comprehensive book on tax sales in Alabama; it is a must have for beginning investors here and even vets would learn from it as well.

Seth,

I look forward to working with you! Anything in particular you’re looking for? A lot of folks stay away from occupied properties, but I find they tend to be in better shape most of the time.

I'm interested in knowing who here invests in Alabama? The laws are very favorable here for the investor. I look at properties all the time down here and come across many opportunities. I have good contacts for contractors, attorneys, and property managers, I'm interested in networking with folks that invest in Alabama and possibly doing some deals together.

@Keith Grady, you probably want to contact the Jefferson County redemptions department to get an update on the status. And in the future, you may want to include a statement that says your signature is null and void after a certain amount of days; that way if they have not redeemed within a certain amount to time, you should be able to continue to make preservation improvements.

This post is a little bit old, but I'd like to hear what happened in your situation.

3/1

1372 sq. ft.

Cash only - first come, first served basis. I only have the quote on the property at this point, so it will likely take 4-6 weeks from the date of sale to get the deed.

Please feel free to contact me at 315-775-3490 (text or call) if you have any questions about tax sales in Alabama; I'd be glad to help. I can link you up with local contractors, property managers, and attorneys to help you with the process.
