Just realised I didn't post the site, if anyone is interested it was www.propertyadviceblog.com (there's a section on conveyancing and comparing solicitor quotes)

Yeh I am writing from the UK, I'm getting that response from quite a few forums, although one directed to me to a really useful site that outline the conveyancing process and how to find a good solicitor. Thanks for your time guys!

I'm buying a house for the first time, as such I'm new to the legal side of the process, what exactly should I expect my conveyancing solicitor do? How can I make sure they're doing a good job?
