Quote from @Aaron Porter:

@Johany Herrera  My agency works with many carriers that offer builders risk policies.  Depending on the location of the property has some bearing on which carrier will accept the risk.  Almost every carrier has a policy for builders risk.

One huge thing to note is that almost every carrier in the US has increased rates by 10%+ for 2023 so whenever your policy comes up for renewal rates are almost always going to go up. Some rate increases I personally have seen in the last 2 months are in excess of 20%.

Thank you @Aaron Porter. I will send you more info directly.

The company that I currently use to insure the single family homes I am building, is increasing the rates by a huge percentage. I am looking for different options. Can you please tell me wich company you use  to insure your single family homes while you build them?.

Thank you very much Jeronimo ,Bill and Jay for helping me out.  The article you gave me is great Jeronimo. However; this park will be located within city limits on a good location with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It also has city water and sewer. The main reason why I am considering is because I get a lot of calls from people asking me if I rent land for mobile homes. I also get calls from 2 companies that sell mobile homes and they cant find land for their clients. My main concern is the large amount of money that I would have to put upfront because it would have to be cash since my bank wont finance a mobile home park. I wonder if any body on this group has developed a similar mobile home park and can tell me a little bit more about prices and things that are needed to build the park.

Hello all

I have 2 acres of land under contract in Odessa Texas where I currently  live. I  have some rental homes, I rehab  homes  and I build single family homes as well.  I have listened to all the post casts  and now  I am very interested on having a mobile home park on my portfolio.  I have no experience whatsoever on Mobile home parks. The land has access to city water, sewer and electricity. I already went to the city and it is zoned for whatever I want (single family homes, mobile homes, mobile home park or multifamily). I have never found land with this great zoning. I can built 11 single affordable family homes here as per the city  and  I could profit around 20k per home after they are sold.

I don't  know how many mobile homes I can put here and how much it would cost me to build the park. I know each space is rented for $325 a month and they have to pay for all utilities.

Any advice as to how much it would cost me to build a mobile home here and if it is worth it?
