Hi all,

I am reading Brandon Turner’s book (The Book On Rental Property Investing) right now and he discusses the “1031 exchange”. I currently live in the Netherlands and, of course, taxes work differently here. So, I was wondering if there is a Dutch equivalent to the 1031 exchange.

The down payment depends on the lender (of course), a down payment of 20 percent for rentals is most common.

I did already think so, thanks for your answer. I guess I have to find a different strategy.

I am wondering if there are any Dutch investors on BiggerPockets, who know how to find duplex-/triplexdeals. Because, in my experience, it is hard to find these properties. I don't know any good search engines and my agent says it's not common to buy duplexes and triplexes.
