I'm in the middle of reading – Tax Strategies for the Savvy Real Estate Investor – just brought it, great read by the way. It is blatantly obvious that Brandon is Andy from the "Entities" story. I have seen the podcast of Brandon, Amanda and Josh multiple times, and how Amanda snatched Brandon out of the depths of entity downfall. The podcast and the book explain things perfectly, and Brandon graciously tells his story during the podcast, allowing others to learn from his mistakes, and Amanda and Matt are geniuses at explaining complicated matters in an understandable and entertaining way. I do have a question though, what about real estate and trusts?

Post: Paralyzed from the neck down, Power from the Neck up

My name is Joey Noble, I live in Miami Florida and in June of 2013 I was in a serious car accident that left me a C4 quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down. I was suffering from depression from 2013 – 2017, until someone in my support group at the hospital, gave me a wake-up call. He said, "if you are ready to die, and give up, there are both legal and illegal ways to get it done, but if you not ready to quit yet, wake your A** up , and do something". This was the spark for me to stop crying over all the things I cannot do, and focus on what I could still do, and what I could learn to do, and – thenoblemanbrand.com – was born. My goal was simple, to embark on my own journey, creating something from nothing, creating a message from the mess.

I was an inpatient in the ICU/rehab center for 4 months. I came home and was on a breathing ventilator for 8 months. They told me I’ll never move, speak or breathe on my own again, but I love music, and this was my main motivation for just fighting to speak again. Starting with a weak diaphragm, barely being able to hold a whisper, I fought, and continue to fight for every breath, and to make everyone count.

I have always had a mind for doing my own thing, even from my youth. The easiest thing for me to do at the time was a T-shirt brand ( AY Asher Apparel), so I started creating designs that would allow me to make products with a print on demand company. Needless to say, I wasn't getting the expected results that I was seeing other apparel lines getting on YouTube, and began to slip back into a downcast mindset. My stepdad is a carpenter, so I have been around the construction side of real estate since I was 11, but it was just my "stepdad job", and was something that I never paid much mind to. After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, for the first time, I began to think about the reality of my situation concerning how I'm going to pay the enormous medical bills that comes with my condition, also what kind of quality of life I wanted, and was possible. First of all, I was embarrassed to go anywhere because my disability, and secondly, due to my disability, I didn't have many employment opportunities like the rest, leaving me out of the money loop. So the story began, writing business plans, building websites, buying domain names and doing photo shoot etc, all the while, without proper use of my hands, legs. Everything gets done with voice dictation software, a testament to the old cliché, "where there's a will there's a way".

I began researching investment strategies, slipped upon biggerpockets and the story of Ben Leybovich, I began to think that this was a possibility, and started absolutely consuming the content (books, podcasts, website, videos etc.). In life, we are often faced with overwhelming obstacles. Family and friends walk out on you, and fear and depression ravages and brings you down. But, regardless the situation or circumstance, in life you only have 2 CHOICES, MOVE FORWARD or GET LEFT BEHIND.

I am really interested in learning real estate, and feel like I am ready for the next step, but I fear that it couldn't have come at a more un-opportune time due to everything going on, and I have been stopped in my tracks. If anyone has any advice for me in the situation, it will be greatly welcomed and appreciated. I'm not sure if this is where I am supposed to post my introduction post, sorry if it is not.
