Thank you for sharing your experience, both good and bad, and congratulations on picking up your second property. After the repairs were finished and it was ready to rent out, did MI or Oceanpointe tell you that they had placed a tenant in the home and did they ever provide you with a copy of a lease?

I think you guys are being kind to say Morris seems like a nice guy and this is a result of MI's growth and success. Tyler's post and the most recent thread by Todd seem to be the norm for people who have bought properties from MI. I don't think that he's blind so he has to be aware that these issues are going on.

The last post on this thread mentions possibly seeking a lawyer with other investors in the same position. You could always make a You Tube video of your experience with MI, maybe he will offer to buy back your property for what you paid for it in return for you taking the video down.

Did you go to see the property or have someone on the ground, not with MI, view the property before you purchased? If you are unable to I would try to find someone local who can view the property just to make sure that what they are telling you about the rehab being complete accurate. You could also start a thread on your experience with MI thus far, it would definitely help other investors looking for more information on MI, as if the stories that have come to light here aren't enough of a red flag.

@Ray Sizzum There are several people who have invested with MI and have said that they were receiving rents on their vacant property so that is not surprising, but I was under the impression that Tyler had actually seen the property after MI addressed all the rehab issues. If I was in his shoes I would hop on a plane and see what the hell is going on over there. I just don't understand how more people don't post reviews on their experience with MI whether good or bad, or even comment on his YouTube channel. The people commenting on his videos are tripping over themselves for the opportunity to invest with MI.

Try looking on craigslist or do a search on google for we buy houses for cash outfits on long island. There are plenty of those out there. I am currently working on generating leads here in Nassau County, feel free to message me.

Well said, I'm glad I came across the Clayton Morris YouTube channel because it ultimately led me to BiggerPockets. @Todd Fry@Todd Fry Thank you for sharing your experience and I hope that MI comes thru and delivers on what was advertised. I noticed that the video review has been removed from YouTube, was that at the request of MI or did you just decide to take them down on your own? I thought the video was great for people thinking about using MI so they can see the types of properties they are getting and it offered a different perspective from an investor as opposed to the testimonials on Clayton Morris's channel.
