@Dhaval Taylor I like Airbnb’s for the unique experience. Hotels are fine, but Airbnb’s are often cheaper and less of a hassle, plus you get much more space. We’re doing a month in Costa Rica and couldn’t do that with hotels/resorts.

Strong WiFi is a must and items like toilet paper and paper towels are necessary as well. Everything else is a bonus, like a stocked fridge or items to shower with - not necessary but definitely add to a great experience.

Are you planning to get a few Airbnb’s rolling? I’m starting to dig into them as well as I stay here in CR.

Hey everyone,

My name is Joe McCarthy and I'm excited to join BiggerPockets. I graduated Purdue with a degree in construction management and have a few years under my belt as a general contractor in commercial healthcare. I'm a rookie in real estate and I'm excited to learn and grow within this community.

My goal is to get into real estate as early as possible to learn the ropes and set myself up for financial freedom down the road. 

Based on what I've read so far it seems like wholesaling may be a great way to get my feet wet and expand from there, but what do I know?
