Hi BP,

I am considering upgrading to BP Plus to gain further access to deals, wholesalers and to build my network.  I am seeking feedback from the community about the benefits they have gained by doing so.  Would you please share your story?  Also, if I just upgrade to plus am I drastically missing out on things offered in the Pro version?  I have looked at the comparison chart but still feel  unsure.

Any feedback and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Congrats on your first deal! I am sure it is very exciting.

If you do not mind me asking what learning methods you used to get into the wholesaling side of RE?  I am interested in learning more about it, and always feel those involved may be able to offer valuable advise.

Congrats again and may you have many more.

Thank you for the response Christina.

You make some very valid points and I too hope to find that same type of mentor that can also hang my license while allowing me to shadow them.   I am ready to go.  Funds available, some knowledge and an open mind to learning as much as I can.

It sounds like you are well on you way to moving forward in the Phoenix investing market.   I wish you the best and hope you achieve your goals.

Thank you again,

Joel P.

Hi BP Family,

I am currently an in-active RE agent in Arizona ( AZ ). I want to hang my license again so that I can use it for my own investments.I recently interviewed a few brokers and expressed to them I want to focus on my own F&F and F&H, and some residential resale. (Some big names, others more local)

During the interviews I asked if they had anyone that was focused on their own investments and doing F&F. Most basically did not have anyone in the office that had this focus.I then asked since they do not have anyone there that could “teach” me, would I be allowed to “Learn” from an outside mentor (active investor) that may not even be an RE agent of any kind.Even though my intent was to only shadow this mentor and NOT have them actually write my deals, also I would have my broker review them before turning them in, I was told I am not allowed to “Learn” or shadow others outside of the brokerage. Now this seemed very odd to me, but from certain views I could understand why.

My questions:

What is your opinion on this situation? How should I proceed?

Since my objective is my personal F&F and F&H, should I stay away from standard brokerages like ReMax, West USA and so on?Should I be looking for a broker that only focuses on investments of their own, that is willing to bring on someone to mentor? Any help here is appreciated.

Can anyone suggest an active broker in Arizona (West Valley AZ) that fits this type of scenario?I do not want to hang my license at a brokerage that only focuses on resale of residential and commercials properties. If they are not able to help me learn and be active in my own investments, they will not be a good fit for me.This is the problem I keep running into. They all are just your everyday RE brokerage.

I am very eager to get started and have many abilities, but finding the right place to start as an Agent/Investor that want to learn has got me stuck.

I would be very grateful for any feedback the BP community can provide.

Hi Correy,

From what I hear the AZ market is basically the same.  Very tough to find F&F that are worth the time and effort with all the competition out here. .  However, I personally am a strong believer that perseverance will prosper.

I am currently seeking F&F properties here in AZ and it is a bit tough.  I have considered using a wholesaler to at least get off the ground, but have yet to ask the BP community their thoughts.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you get to a few before others do. :)

Good luck,

Joel P.

Hi BP Community,

First let me start by saying how addicted I am to this site. So many great people, and so many learning tools.

I am currently an in-active RE agent in AZ seeking to get back in to the industry. My interests are my personal investments as well as some residential for clients. When it comes to my investments I am looking to quickly get involved in Fix and Flips, and Fix and Hold.

My questions are these:

When seeking a broker to hang my license with should I attempt to hang it with a broker that can also function as an investment mentor, or will hanging it with a standard broker like West USA Realty be enough to get started again?

I understand Fliping in AZ right now can be a tough game right now. Is it still something feasible in today's market or should I get back to residential first? (I would love to focus on my investments first, if I can gain ground.)

Does anyone have a suggestion on West USA Realty and/or a very active Investment Broker in the West valley that would have an interest in mentoring? I would like someone that is very active in this segment of the industry.

Can anyone provide me with an AZ (West valley investors group?) I feel I have man

I am currently involved in marketing and graphic design. I also have some other traits that can be offered to an active mentor that can get me off the ground pretty quick. I would love to work with other investors in the area as part of a team.

Basically, what is the best route to take for my objective, being that I do hold a RE license.

Thank you to all who help guide me back in to the industry. Your help is appreciated.
