Appreciate it guys, Thanks a lot!

Hi, new to the forums here. I just found this website. I am planning on getting into the property rental business. I just bought my own home and had to pay 500$ for an inspection. That is going to get very expensive for how many properties I would like to look at. I think it would be worth it to get trained in home inspection not as a career but just so I do not have to hire someone else.

Is this crazy? Would an online training program be good enough? Does anyone know of one with a great reputation? Thanks a lot for any tips/suggestions!

I am looking to buy foreclosed homes, or very old homes from the 1920's-50's (There are TONS in my area) . In a growing area with what I think has opportunity for good rental income. I am still working on doing the research.

Since I am a total noob I have no idea the value of these properties and also how much money I will need to put into them to make them operational and generating income.

Thanks for your help!
