Post: contract of sale real estate

I put in an offer to purchase a home. The realtor sent me back a contract of sale to sign. The seller will, of course, still need to agree on the offer. My question is, when does the attorney review period start? Is it when I get the contract back signed by the seller? I'm not sure if I need to have an attorney look over the contract now or I can wait for the signed contract. Thanks.

@Martin Zawarski so after you purchase it with your line of credit you then get a conventional loan or whatever other type you want from a bank. Then your line of credit goes back in the original house. Understood ?

@George C. I am going to submit my offer today. I am going pretty close to the asking price, since It is reasonable. It's a multi family occupied already in pretty good shape. Like I said I was going to offer pretty much right at the asking price..

Yeah I found a great multi family, it is currently occupied collecting pretty good income. I am not going to be a cash buyer but my realtor said I still have a chance just depends who else comes with better offers..

My realtor said they would like to see cash offers, but hopefully since I am getting a conventional loan they will accept mine.

I am interested in buying a property where the numbers work really well. The realtor said they are representing the bankruptcy court in this property. It is not a short sale nor a foreclosure so things should go as scheduled. Does anyone have any information about this kind of property, what should I know ?

Looking for a real estate lawyer in NJ.

@Martin Zawarski thanks Martin...so you are basically talking about taking a line of credit in the equity from the homes you own?
