I found a device on Amazon for $30. You can add the guest and remove them when they leave. Garage door can be opened and closed from the app. Thanks Lisa, Michael & Nathan!

I just signed up with 1800 Accountant. They charge around $2700 for a year of advising, business structuring and filing. I've only had one call with them so far, so I can't speak long term - but so far I'm liking it. They assign you a person who specializes in STR.

I don't think the city, neighbors or HOA will appreciate that. If anyone has had to do this with their garage - I would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

 They need to be able to park in the garage. That's the main parking in my neighborhood, otherwise they have to park 2 streets over.

Hi All - I'm starting my first STR in November. I have an 8 year old lift master garage door opener with a keypad on the outside. I have a few questions:

#1 What is the best wifi device to add to this to program codes for guests to enter?

#2 How do I prevent them from using the learn button on the GDR to program their car or another device to open the garage - or - if they do that, can the wifi device wipe that once they are gone from the property?

#3 Do I have to remove the keypad that just has my code programmed at this point? It's not wifi and I'm not sure if someone could program it with an additional code.

I'm going to be living 9 hours away from my property, so I'm not going to have direct access to this stuff. Thanks!
