Thank you very much James!

Micah that's great! I attempted wholesaling in South Florida so I would love to connect with you and maybe found out what techniques are working best for you in this area. I sent you a request with my email. Thank you Micah.

I have been a quiet member of Bigger Pockets for some time. I have made a few good connections while I was in South Florida, learned quite a lot ( Thank you Erik Stark), but never pursued investing like I should have. I kept letting my work interfere with my passion and I'm ready to stop making excuses.

I have just moved to Nashville and would love the opportunity to get connected with any groups, members, or activities in or around the area to help me stay motivated and keep me focused on my passion. If you know or live in the Nashville area and have any advice for a newbie in this area I would greatly appreciate it.

I am looking forward to new surroundings, new relationships and achieved goals.

Thanks in advance!

@Jesse Waters Thank you so much for that information. I will definitely look into house hacking, it sounds like it may be a great start and alternative to wholesaling.

@Paul Timmins I'm going through the Bigger Pockets Ultimate Beginners Guide right now and I listen to the podcast while I'm working! Great stuff! Can't wait to get into the rest of the material you provided for me.

Truly great stuff, I cannot thank you two enough for giving such a great start!

All the best!

Joey

Thanks Jesse. That is great advice. I think since I am starting out with no money to invest I would like to wholesale properties to build cash for investing in cash flow properties later down the road, which I would like to be in the multi-family/unit properties. I still have a lot more studying to do so I will keep you updated on my progress.

Thanks for commenting and the advice.

Joey

Great video Brandon! I'm starting my RE education today! Can't wait to be at step 7 for the first time!

Thank you,

Joey

Hey what's happening everyone! My name is Joey Ikeguchi currently living in Pompano Beach, FL, originally from Panama City, FL, and I lived in Southern California (Newport Beach) for about 7 years (where I also met my wonderful fiancé Anissa) which I hope to make it back to someday.

Currently I am a web designer working out of my house, which is nice, but I happened into this business by chance. Unfortunately the money is little and the work is not something I look forward to everyday. I have been looking for multiple opportunities to step away from this gig and every time I find something I keep getting drawn back to Real Estate. I think overall I am intimidated by Real Estate, not exactly sure why, and that is why my excuses have gotten in the way of me making my first steps into executing a career in Real Estate investing. I think I was actually looking through this site a year ago. Very Disappointing. I'm happy to announce that I no longer am going to hold myself back but continue to push myself forward. I want to keep expanding my comfort zone until I completely step out of it and find out what my true potential is.

I have no personal experience with Real Estate or Real Estate Investing. The knowledge I do have is from two years of community college courses, online videos, and books from other Real Estate Investors I have come across. I haven't really done anything from start to finish, so the knowledge I do have of Real Estate is kind of all over the place. I am dedicating myself to this process of starting from square one, taking it a step at a time, and learning in a much more organized manner. I'm glad that Bigger Pockets has all that available for me, and also that there are experienced and educated investors here to help me grow. I'm looking forward to learning everything I possibly can so that I can truly call myself a SUCCESSFUL REAL ESTATE INVESTOR. I also want to be able to take everything I learn and be able to teach others so that they have the necessary tools to also become a success, whether it be in life or Real Estate.

My goals of becoming a successful RE investor are to do something I enjoy and get paid for it, provide financial stability for my family, create a retirement income, start non-profit organizations, but ultimately be happy, because life can get stale and monotonous when you do the same thing everyday, especially when you don't enjoy it. I would say my first goal in route to all of those great things, however, would be to get my first deal underneath my belt!

Looking forward to coming back to this introduction to post my first RE deal!

Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to read through my intro and for any help I am given in my journey.

God Bless!
