Options include more money down, short-term or mid-term rentals, renting by the room, BRRRR, and house hacking (if a primary residence).

Appreciate the insight. How likely / challenging might it be to short- or mid-term rent a property not in the urban core? Example - buying in Manor or Hutto or Cedar Park.

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if there is a general opinion when it comes to trying to find cash flow vs acquiring a property with no cash flow (or negative) but strong YoY appreciation growth. That’s the situation in Austin right now as price points have outgrown rents. That said, with Tesla, Samsung n others on way I’m trying to understand if it’s worth it as it’ll be a decade before things slow down here.

So worth placing more down on to try and make things cash flow or not worth it?

Thoughts?

Hello everyone! My name is JP Lococo and I currently reside in Columbus, Ohio. I am very new to the site and am looking to network and learn. I am currently work full time in the area but have recently been tossing around the idea of whole selling and/or smaller flipping projects to get started in real estate. I do like my job, so this isn't anything i'd be looking to do full-time but I am very interested in the idea of having a project on the side that can create some extra cash during a given year.

If anyone has stories or advice on how to get started or people to connect with in Ohio then let me know!

Thanks.
