Thanks everybody for your advice!  Great to know folks have walked this path before and have had success!  

Also happily surprised at how Shelby County has leveraged technology to make the informal review process so user-friendly.

My partner and I will be submitting our information this weekend.  Fingers crossed.

Just received notification from Shelby County Assessor of Property in Memphis that that market value of an investment property has increased, thereby increasing the assessed value and my tax obligation.

Hoping that the BiggerPockets community can help!

  • Do you have firsthand knowledge of the appeals process in Shelby County?  Were you successful in your appeal?
  • Do you know of any service provider that can help with the appeals process?  I am an out of state investor.
