I need a good real estate attorney in the Los Angeles or Orange County area. I could not find a specific forum for attorney's so I thought that I would ask here. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Thanks,

John

Hi guys, and thanks for the welcome!

[b]* Shane - If your company was in business anytime from 2001 - 2010, I probably purchased something from them. Good luck with your real estate ventures.

[b]* Mbei - I agree with your leadership remark. Hard work and some ingenuity will usually get a person ahead in life/business no matter who is running the country. I am always interested in discussing how to get more money to buy real estate, so feel free to send me a private message with your contact info. Just to let you know, we are not dealing with conventional lending at this point in our plan and are more focused on debt/equity partners.

[b]* Chris - Which financial services firm do you work for? My girlfriend is in that same industry and just got back yesterday from North Carolina, where she met with some folks from Lincoln Financial about a future job opening.

I like the triple net lease idea and am just starting to learn all of the different ways an investor can profit from larger multi-family complexes. If a guy or gal can manage their risk by completing thorough due diligence on their deals, I see the huge potential in doing bigger deals.

Best Regards,

John

Thanks for all of the welcoming comments:

* Jon, We have not purchased our first property yet, but even better, we have found our first private money partner at an investor meeting a couple of weeks ago. We like the Dallas area though and will be in your neck of the woods soon getting to know the area.
* David, I'm with you on that. I flipped a few homes off of the auction block in Phoenix and learned real quick how bad people destroyed their places prior to leaving.
* Hey Kyle! Thanks!
* Al, I hope so. If I can't systemically pursue an investment or business, I generally shy away from it.
* Luis, I have a lunch meeting with Matt from Morgan Stanley at noon. If you would like to be there just let me know. Otherwise, I will call you when we are done.

I hope everyone has a great year and can continue to find ways to function under our current leadership.

Hello everyone,

Have been signed up on BiggerPockets.com for a couple of months now but never really introduced myself to the group.

I Live in Anaheim Hills, CA and getting ready to retire from a 20 yr career as a fire fighter. Throughout those 20 yrs I also owned and operated a small computer/networking business and invested in residential real estate. After taking a hard look at where I could build the most long term wealth in the shortest amount of time, I started learning about buying commercial multi-family.

Through my networking here on Bigger Pockets, I was lucky enough to find a partner with all of the knowledge to start putting deals together quickly. I now focus on networking and finding investors who want to either JV on deals or who have money to lend and he focuses on finding and analyzing the deals.

Great to be here and hope to connect with more of you.

John
