I have seen several empty houses lately I may be interested in flipping. Trouble is that the county auditor page gives me very little information. I'm sure one of them is not going to be a tax sale, since they are up to date. So, how do I find out the house's status? I'd like to find the mortgage holder, but don't know how. I've flipped 3 houses, but bought them all from wholesalers. Would rather go straight to the owner/lender if possible Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I highly recommend Erica Peterson with Coldwell Banker -West Shell. She is in their Union Center office. She’s very personable, asks questions, listens, and works hard to meet your needs.

Since I cannot post her number here you can find it on their website.

Spring Valley Bank is very investor friendly. They do both short and long term loans.

I will only use REI Guard. Coverage is good, reasonable deductibles, reasonable rates.

We have used Spring Valley Bank in Wyoming. They are investor friendly and interest rate is less than hard money.

I use them for my fix and flips. And I know they do fix and hold. Since you are an out of town investor, that may have some bearing. Bank President is Dave Whitcamp. You can talk to him and mention my name if you wish. I assume you called the Spring Valley Bank in Cincinnati.
