Quote from @Ashish Acharya:

@Jimmy Rojas Yes, you can file your own 1099s using tax software or online services, but simply filing a 1099 doesn’t automatically prove income for a mortgage. Lenders typically look at your full tax return (Form 1040) with Schedule C (for self-employment income) or Schedule E (for rental income) to verify income.

To qualify for a home loan, banks generally require:

  • At least two years of reported self-employment income.
  • Tax returns, bank statements, and possibly profit & loss statements.
  • A solid debt-to-income (DTI) ratio to ensure you can handle mortgage payments.

If you’re newly self-employed and don’t have two years of tax returns, you may need to look into bank statement loans, which some lenders offer based on income deposits instead of tax returns. Always check with a mortgage lender about their specific documentation requirements.

I been self employed since 2015 and have my 1099 forms 2023 and 2024, no debt at all.

I found out there is software/apps that you can use to do your taxes on 1099, can i file my 1099's myself and use that as proof of income to banks?

Through loopholes there are many home owners that are illegal immigrants, if they get deported , what will happen to their homes?

I live in Arizona and homes here are sky high, youd be lucky to get %6 interest rate, I would be a 1st time home buyer, apart from being 1099 employed would Trumps real estate plans benefit the little guys like me?

Im self employed, roughly make $130k gross anually, 1099 NEC , no debt at all, 740 credit score.  Want to get a loan for $250k in AZ

I will be a 1st time home buyer , when getting a loan from a bank how do i show them proof of income from my 1099 form/s. I work at my brothers business as a independent contractor ,  he has an accountant for this business is necessary for him to to this job or i can do it myself.

Im located in Phx,Az, have access to MLS recently i noticed under the sold section there is a lot (more than before) homes being sold below asking price and some in cash, anyone know whats going on, Im currently looking for a home so i guess this is good for me.

Congradulatlions!,  it helps tons when you know someone like your husband that knows how to flip and work on a home himself, a lot of people myself included have no connections at all to flip a home and it could be daunting just thinking about it.

Did you get your asking price of $299.633?

How long did it take to flip your home  to be ready to sell?

How fast did you sell it ?
