Hi you!

We are considering investing in Houston as foreign investors (from Belgium), our goal is to find and start with a long-term rental single or multi family home. We would buy this house all cash. Any recommendations when it comes to:
- Real estate agents we should work with?
- Property Managers that you would highly recommend?
- A list of ZIP codes that are classified as label B areas?

Anything you can think of that is relevant for us to know, please drop it below :)
Thanks !!

Hi Helena! I'd echo what many of the individuals who have responded already have said. The north part of Houston, specifically Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, and Conroe are great. Those areas are seeing the most appreciation and continue to grow with new residents moving there looking for housing.

I own and operate a property management business serving these areas. I'm also an investor and realtor myself, with a portfolio of single family homes in the area. All are fully occupied with great long term tenants.

I'm happy to share any information you are specifically looking for. Let me know if I can be of any help!

Has anyone had experience with one in or around Houston? We live in The Woodlands, TX. Wife still has W-2 job, but I left mine at end of 2023. I did get my real estate license and have a few transactions that I was paid for and opened up a small property management company that I only made about $20K on. We have 9 rental properties and I have been doing taxes myself with Turbo Tax in the past, but wanting to make sure doing correct and then with this year working on mine own with LLC and being able to write things off (like mileage, LLC costs, Real estate license fees, etc), may be more than I want to deal with. We purchased 1 property last year and had to sink in quite a bit for repairs and haven't had to factor that in over the past purchases that were pretty turn key. Thanks!

Hey Jeff - I use Alma Bates. He’s a neighbor of mine in Spring. He does my personal and multiple LLC returns. You can tell him Jimmy sent you. https://ggoldencpa.com/our-team/

Hello! I am an OOS investor looking into possibly buying in Houstonm, TX! I know that the job market and economy is strong out there, not to mention that Houston is a thriving city overall. I do actually plan to move to Houston from California for school but that is not until the near future. As of right now, I wanted to see if there is any duplexes under $250k and to possibly Long Distance Invest for now prior to moving in. I was looking more into North Houston and saw a few properties in Spring, TX. Wanted to see if I can get in touch with someone to further guide me!

Thank you!

Hey Jalen! I live in Spring and have a portfolio of rentals in the area. I’m a CPA, local Real Estate Agent, and own/operate a property management company here.

If you have any specific questions, I’d be happy to help!

Closing on my second STR this year currently, as well as having an AirBnB arbitrage investment progressing. Looking for a CPA in the Houston Area, preferably in the northern suburbs (Spring, Woodlands, Conroe). Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I use Alma Bates for my portfolio of properties and personal tax return. Here is his website. Let him know I sent you!

Currently trying to close up a deal in Spring Texas but it is a hard time finding cash buyers. Anyone have tips for finding them and how to structure the deal to become lucrative for them as well?

Have you tried Facebook for buying the property? There is a Houston real estate group that has 60K+ people. Lots of investors looking for deals. Let me know if you need help finding it.

Yes I joined a few but still no luck. Can you point to the one you use?

Feel free to send me a message and I’ll shoot you the link!

Hello everyone!

We are planning on moving to greater Houston area next year from out of state. We would like to buy a house to live in first and maybe rent out in a few years.

Which cities (zipcodes) would you recommend? We have two kids, so looking for places that are good to raise family, investment friendly and easy to rent out.

Thanks!

Spring or The Woodlands. It’s hard to beat the schools up here and the beautiful scenery.

Thanks! Is it easy find tenants there?

Very! I have my portfolio of rentals, manage others rentals, and live there. Give me a shout whenever you‘d like to discuss. I can tell you all about it.
