Post: Will a rise in mortgage interest rates affect housing prices?

There is much discussion that, if interest rates rise, the price of houses in Castle Rock, CO will not continue to rise or not rise at the current fast pace. The assumption is that people base buying decisions on the monthly mortgage interest rates. However with the shortage of housing across the entire U.S., will that actually slow the increase in prices. I think there are 2 factors in place. 1) There is a lot of money in the system and 2) Higher mortgage rates will price many people out of the market. So there will be less buyers who can compete, but there will still be many buyers in the market trying to purchase their "future", whether that be a primary residence or investment properties for retirement income. What are your thoughts?

Post: HUD Registered Broker Referral

You will need to find a Broker who has a HUD account. In order to submit an offer, a Registered Broker must have a HUD account and the Broker keys in the terms of the offer via that system. It not a typical offer process. As a Buyer, I believe you can search for a HUD Broker in your area, who can help you.

Good Luck,

Jim

There has been much discussion about too much growth in Castle Rock and the infrastructure being built is not fast enough to support it. Some residents are trying to recall some Town Council Members because they fast expansive growth. As a local Agent I hear about this item constantly. Recently the town installed a pedestrian bridge over Wolfensbeger Rd. Would would have thought that would happened even 2 years ago.

Also the town originally decided to only build a 2 lane road with The North Meadows Extension. Last month they announced it is being increased to a 4 lane road, since the main road in/out of The Meadows is a big problem with too much traffic.

What are thoughts about the fast growth in this area?
