Any other recommendations? Our lawyer just moved out of the area so we're on the hunt for a new one. We'll need some basic contract work, entity structuring advice, must be familiar with TOPA. Thanks.

He's worked with me on budget, but the think I like best about him and his company is they show up when they say they will show up. Not one bit flakey. Does work in the DMV.

I will happily pay extra for a contractor who shows up when they say they are going to show up.

Happy to help!

I don't think this has been covered yet in the DC forum so who has some good contractor recommendations?

Marie, I'd be interested in speaking with your architect. The prices from the one we've been using keep going up with every project. She needs a little competition.

Marie, do you know if there is a more reliable site to get zoning info? I've tried PIVS and half the time under zone it just comes up with an asterisk. The tax payer service center website does not have it and the DC Open Data GIS system does not have it correlated with SSL or address in any of their databases. Dc Property Quest is down half the time.

FYI, checked with a bunch of local banks. Most won't do it. Wells Fargo and TD Bank will. Wells Fargo actually has decent rates and no closing costs right now.
