Ryan is exactly right as far as Texas is concerned. I am in Texas and I just looked over a tax deed on a property that we bought. The deed was a typical Special Warranty Deed, except for the redemption period. The final redemption date was listed in bold letters on the deed. Once that date is past you can get a title policy, loan, or complete any normal real estate transaction with the property.

I just did a quick google search of "accelerated depreciation" and found tons of info. The term was only vaguely familiar to me from college accounting classes so you'll probably get better explanations from google. Good luck.

I actually met a guy the other day who has a patent on a prefab home with a slab. I haven't seen it but my partner has.

Send me a PM if you want and I'll send you they guy's name and contact info.

I have to say "Think and Grow Rich" - Napoleon Hill.

I didn't really get the secret until probably the third time I read it. (I'm a slow learner but thank God I'm stubborn.)

Hey we are not children we live in a free market society, Capitalist or did we decide we lost the cold war. If the system is not working properly it will balance out for instance if poeple get screwed so do the banks who have to go to foreclosure, either people are going to smarten up or the banks will decide to enforce stricter controls as to not loose money. On the other hand if creative loans are out their that means investors have it eaiser time fixing homes, which is a service to the whole country. Lets not shoot our selves in the foot, to protect IDIOTS.

Well said.

Specifically, a note is a paper acknowledging a debt and promising payment; promissory note. In real estate it usually refers to a note secured with a deed of trust or a real estate mortgage.

Many new Laptops are no longer being made with a PC Card slot. Instead they are being equipped with what is call an Express Card slot. A thinner slot that uses something closer to USB communication technology.

Anyway, Sprint finally released a USB based broadband modem for your PC, they say they are working on an Express Card version but it has yet to be released. This has been talked about since last year. Verizon already has an Express card available.

Anyway, just wanted to add that in there.

I ran into this with our company. We have one guy in the field who was using Verizon with a PC card. We bought him a new laptop and it only had an Express slot. So inherited the Verizon card and we got him a Sprint USB mondem. Both work fine. Not what I'd call lightning speeds but useful almost anywhere.
