@Jay Helms , great work so far. I am glad we were able to connect and work together. I think you guys found a killer deal. Now we go to work!

I knew I had posted on here along time ago.

That deal ended up being what will probably be one of the best in my life. I ended up house hacking a 4 Plex in Normal Heights with a FHA loan and doubled the value of the property we bought in 5 years. I also was able to take almost $1500 a month in cash flow after we moved away.

Thanks for the memory @William Allen

Awesome story, I think it goes to show the faster you start the faster you can finish, especially before you have a family and all the accouterments and bills they include.

I am a multifamily syndicator and investor from Pensacola, FL, though I seem to keep finding most of my deals in Mobile, AL. I recently left active duty Navy as a Helicopter Pilot and I was able to move directly into full time real estate. Over the last few years I have sponsored Commercial and Multifamily deals in the area and I invest passively in the same across the country. I am looking for introductions to other investors in the area and multifamily or mobile home park deals. I have focused so far on the Gulf Coast but I am interested in moving into other markets over the next few years.

You could start by investing with someone else, either a partnership with someone who knows what they are doing or via a syndication. Both ways are less work but you will have less return too.

Im looking to buy my first property, hopefully a 2-4 unit in or around North Park, San Diego using a VA loan, living in one unit and learning the art of property management with the others, unless you want to try and talk me out of it.
