@Matt McGuire this sound like a great idea. I live in Humble and would like to attend. Just need to know location and date. Thanks!

@Jason Wray everything you just said make a lot of sense. I will push my agent to be more active. Hopefully I can get something even if they only accept conventional loan as the finance option. Hopefully in the next few more I see the wiggle room and get my first property. Will keep you posted!

@Jason Wray all my research point that way. I don’t see any way around it. Either I look for a multi-family unit that accepts fha financing or keep adding to my saving to qualify for the conventional loan.

@Micah Sweeney so far all my research points toward me needing 15% down.

@Micah Sweeney was this for a multi-family unit? I know people that have been approved for a conventional loan with 3% down payment but it was for a single family.

Hi everyone, wanting to start my real state journey. I been working towards getting my first multi family unit. I was pre-approved for a fha loan, but most of the units that I find are either cash sales, conventional or targeted for investors. My question here is... is there a way to qualify for a conventional loan without putting 20%-25% down payment? Should I negotiate with the lender or should I find another lender? Or should I just keep looking around until I find something that I accept the fha loan? Thanks in advance! I look forward to all the feedback and suggestions.
