This morning the group met to check out a few properties and discuss REI. We all met at 8314 s. Sangamon st, in the Greshham area, outside we took some first impressions and walked through the property. Everybody shared ideas about what we'd change when rehabbing the property @Aaron Vaughn and Sean were awesome at being very helpful and informative with keeping the group thinking like Investors and answering our questions. Like one property had uneven damaged hardwood floors in one of the rooms, but treatable hardwood everywhere else. Sean and Aaron mentioned that instead of looking for matching wood for 10-20 plus yr old hardwood floors, just level and recarpet that room which isn't unusual. The second property which from first impressions seemed like a total rehab with holes in the wall, uneven bricks and a illegal dump site in the back yard Aaron and Sean educated the group by explaining that most of the damage was cosmetic and most damage can be factored into closing cost, and using our comp sheets help put the numbers into perspective and proved to be educational. At the end of the walk-through we all gathered to talk NO money down strategy and what's a potential investment and the reasons why.

Hello BP! 

So I just started working closely with @AaronVaughn and Chicago Action Investors on completing my first deal, it's a group of amazing individuals really heating things up In REI here in Chicago.we meet on Saturday at a property, make connections, network, view the property and learn the gist of analyzing a deal. When all goes well I'll have my first multi-family property here in the cities south side! Matt Mesick Hi Again, are you currently only interested in the north and Logan square area for investment opportunities? Hello I'm Jessica I'm a new wholesaler in the city of Chicago. I'm excited to join the Bigger Pockets community! I currently don't have any experience with real estate investment, but I've learned a lot about wholesale and now I'm excited to start.
