Hi,

I'm assuming the answer would be no, but does anyone know if opening a UPS mailbox with an address work for opening a brokerage? I know it says you need a physical address but would that count?

Thank you very good to know, that's actually much more than I thought it would be. Assuming im just starting off and not spending as much as you, looks like it would still be somewhere around 5,000 a month not including an office space?

Hi,

I'm wondering, what the average monthly expenses for a broker would be if it's a mom and pop brokerage working from home with 1 agentand 1 broker? Just to get a general idea as to what to expect. How expensive can advertising/E&O insurance get?

Thanks

Thank you good to know! I have to look into what the regulations are in CA for that. Also are you working alone? Or do you have an agent along with you?

Hi all,

In the process of opening a small brokerage with one realtor in CA. Can I open up a corp or sole proprietorship with a home address? Also in regards to start up fees and registrations any idea as to how much it would cost minus an office? Would it cost more than 10 grand to start off? With just one agent and 1 broker?

Thanks

Would It be impossible to lear from the agent everything I needed to know? If it were to go through it would just be me(broker) and 1 agent to start off with due to liability I wouldn't want to hire more unless I've learned enough

Hi guys

Does anyone have a rough idea of the costs associated with starting a real estate brokerage (in California).

Also can you start up a corporation from home or using your home address? Thinking of starting a brokerage with one agent and me as the broker. But that's only if its not too costly.

hello everyone,

Just got my CA broker license with no actual hands on experience in real estate. I thought my first step should be hanging my license with a company, but I have been offered a rent free office and I know a realtor who is willing to partner with me in a new business as a mom and pop brokerage. She is willing to train me in everything as she has been a realtor for 30 plus years. The plan would be to open up as a 1% commission corporation. My question is, can a broker learn from a real estate agent if that makes sense?

Definitely not  in it for the title or ego. Just that If I go that route I know a few people around me who are investors and willing to link up with me.  I'm just wondering if I take the transaction coordinator course on CAR as well as higher a transaction coordinator, would I be able to make deals and jump right in instead of working with a mentor
