@Andrew Postell not only that but also we dont want his mom or us to end up homeless at the end of the day that's our family and we want to help so that we can all have a residence to fall back on at least. She definitely needs help w managing this money & making it grow, which is why we are also planning on doing this

@Andrew Postell We would love to have our own primary residence first however currently my boyfriend works full time & I do not. I have unpaid debt as well so I fear I wouldn't be much help with getting a house. We were planning on piggybacking on his mother's wealth after helping her flip a few houses to pay off my debt & start flipping on our own to create our own wealth, which she would be fine with i should add lol. It would be very difficult for us to buy a home in the situation we're in , we dont have much savings right now and we will basically be getting kicked out soon.

also we will be moving out & recieving the inheritance likely in early may

My mother in law is getting an inheritance of 80k. We would like to use this money to start flipping houses to grow that wealth. The thing is, she has bad credit & old debt that she has yet to pay off, and she doesn't have a job and I don't have faith she will get one, so she's thinking about putting the inheritance in her son's (my boyfriend's) name. How would we go about getting a loan ? 80k isnt enough for any house here, and we would like to put as little money down if possible just to be safe and make sure we still have a bit of a lump sum. My boyfriend has no credit, no experience with real estate. We are worried & lost please send guidance lol we're only 20 and 21 years old. Im trying to get educated but im so confused and its really hard to know what to do for our specific situation.
