Post: Demolish or remodel?

Hi BP,

Working on my second deal and this one is a bit of a doozy. The seller has 2 properties he wants sold. However, the house looks horrific on the inside. I am still a newbie, so I don't want to count this property out, if it's worth saving. But also don't want to waste mine or the seller's time, if its truly not worth the remodel for me to wholesale. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks in advance!

Thank you to everyone for your input and advise! I am going to take a step back and gain more knowledge on Wholesaling before I proceed. I will get the hang of it and will forge ahead. That is for sure!

@Jorge De Jesus Thank you Jorge, i totally agree and I appreciate your input. And I wanted to be clear that my issue was not at all about being told the truth. I took in everything that was said, and to be honest...what was said was the truth. Obviously, I need more knowledge and to better understand the process. Which I get. I had a problem with the attitude it was told in. This is a forum used for education and networking. Not a place to try to tear down people. That was the only point I was trying to make.

@Ken Breeze Thanks Ken, very much appreciated. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction. I am forging ahead. I need more knowledge about the process true enough. So i am going to focus on that, so the next time I step out there I have all of my resources ready to be successful. I am definitely going to take time out to read more and connect with other willing experts for sound advice. Thank you so much for the encouragement!!

@Dustin Davis Thank you so much Dustin for the advise. That actually sounds like a really good idea. I should find a Realtor to work with. It can be a win win for us both. Very helpful information!! I also appreciate your offer, which I am certain I will do. :)

@Ian Walsh thank you so much Ian. That is how I feel. I just wanted to get out there and take action. Instead of just watching podcast all day, I'm glad  I took a leap and tried. Now I know what I need to do, to prepare for my next campaign. I plan to be much more prepared  next time. :)

@Account Closed You have way too much time on your hands. And I am not interested in your experience with your mentor, or any advise you think you have. Thanks for your input, but it's not needed. Have a great day sir!

@Brian Ploszay Thanks Brian. I honestly felt the same way. I don't understand why asking for help is creating so much chaos and criticism. But I really appreciate the feedback. I am going to take a step back and gain more knowledge before I continue.

@Account Closed I have no problem at all with the truth, that is not what this is about. And he's a grown man, i'm sure he doesn't need another grown man to defend him, but thanks anyway!

@Anthony Dooley Thank you Anthony, I totally agree. I have reached out to someone to help me with ARV, and I am beginning to understand it better now. I am going to take some time to get good at the comps first, before I proceed with anymore investments. Thanks a ton!
