Hello!  I'm Jesse and my wife and I are relatively new to the Charlotte area.  I am a technology and management consultant and my wife is an interior designer.  We began our adventure into real estate back in 2010 when we bought our first single family home in Virginia.  We just recently sold that property and reaped the benefits of having someone else pay down the mortgage for nearly eight years ;)  We also purchased a second home near Annapolis MD and sold that property for a profit as well.

Now that we're in Charlotte, we're hoping to allocate some of our gains into new properties here.  Ideally we'd like to flip some properties but we have a bit of a knowledge gap.  We're signed up to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and we also take the Home Depot weekend classes.  Hopefully we can pick up enough knowledge about home building/ repair to minimize what we spend on professionals for a flip.  We're focusing our search right now to Uptown, Noda, and South End (don't know if we'll find a flip there but there are some great buy/hold properties).

I'm hoping we can meet some people here who share similar experiences and endeavors!
