Thanks for the info. I was actually thinking the Worcester area might be a good option for what I'm looking for. Funny you mentioned that. I'm not totally against a fixer, but I don't want to be doing full rehab's on kitchens and bathrooms. The other stuff I'm fine with.

I'd manage a SF myself but probably farm out a 3 family to a management company. I'd have to weight the time and money associated with it.

Hello,

Looking for some advice as to what areas of eastern or central Massachusetts are good for both SFR's and Multi families. I'm looking to buy and hold and am starting to research areas. This will be my first purchase so I'm looking to buy in the $150-200k range. Any advice on areas in Mass to target would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks for the 411, guys. After researching a bit more, i'm thinking a duplex or triplex might be a much better route. More control and better long-term with cash-flow.

Just starting out and was looking for some feedback. I have a little capital and am toying with purchasing a condo vs. investing in a friends flip. The flip would obviously offers a quicker return, but is much more risky. The up-front investment would be about the same. My goal is to increase my financial freedom over the next 15 yrs. or so. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks Mark. Funny you say that b/c that's pretty much the plan I have in mind. Any advice on how to get moving and the funding together for the first flip?

Thanks guys.

I'm just starting out, but I'm leaning towards the flipping route. I need to do tons of research before I make a move, but I'm open to any good investment.
