Hey @Jesse Hachey

Awesome idea making the switch to working for yourself and working towards acquiring assets. That is what this is all about!

I have flipped one property in Pueblo and still have one lease option in Pueblo West. There are definitely deals to be had there but be careful because there are areas I would advise staying away from.

Let me know if you want to come up to Colorado Springs to meet or if you're already going to a meetup up here I will join you. Talk to you soon.

Thank you Joseph! I'm glad to find another investor that's had some interest in Pueblo. I'll let you know when I'm around there, I visit the Springs infrequently these days but with as many new colleagues as I've made there I'll be looking forward to meeting up with you. :)

Welcome to BP! I'm not sure if Pueblo has a BP meetup yet but I saw Colorado Springs had one last month, maybe that will start to gain more traction. If so the meetups are a great place to network and connect with other investors and real estate professionals.

While I don't know much about the Pueblo market, I am an active Colorado Springs and Denver investor. If you'd like to discuss those markets or different strategies sometime feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to chat. Good luck with your investing!

 Thank you Daniel!

I'm fortunate in that I've met and connected with several investors in Pueblo over the last few days, and I'm very happy to connect with ones in Springs and Denver as well. I don't want to limit myself to where I am, after all - I've seen many investors involved in properties in cities they're not based in themselves. :) Looking forward to talking to you!

Thank you Kyle!! I knew about the podcast but not about the beginners guide, that's super helpful :)

I love the community of Pueblo.  If we judged Denver by its worst neighborhoods, nobody would want to live there or invest there. We don't do that because it wouldn't be rational. Pueblo has some rough spots and some beautiful spots and everything in between.

Wonderfully well said Mike. I've defended Pueblo myself many times with respect to its overall attractiveness as a city and that was a good way to put it.

Hi everyone!

I was referred to BiggerPockets from Reddit's /r/realestate subreddit and I'm very pleased I've found you folks! This looks like a fantastic community of investors and generally interested people and I hope that I learn a lot from you all.

My primary location of interest is the town that I live in, Pueblo, CO (about 100K people) south of Colorado Springs, CO.

Recently I've become very interested in real estate and landlording in general. I'm looking for a career change in Pueblo after moving here from Toronto, Ontario and I'm very attracted to the idea of owning properties in this town. My wife's family has a number of family members that are in real estate that I've talked to and leaned on for advice as well.

My background is in executive search - headhunting, recruiting, and that sort of thing, I've been responsible for co-founding and running a mid-sized headhunting firm in Toronto since 2010.

I really look forward to connecting with a lot of you and learning this trade. :) Thank you!
