HI there Ellis I am in the same boat.  I am looking currently looking to purchase my first property, but with little finances I will have to go the bank loan route.  I was curious to know if the bank approved you for the full amount along with renovations and repairs.

Hello All,

I am very green to the Real Estate Investment industry.  Currently I am eyeing foreclosed properties in hopes of flipping them for a profit.

I asked myself how would I finance the purchase of the home, and the renovations.

I arrived to this idea:

Apply for a home loan through a bank for the purchase of the house, and take out a business loan for the renovations.

Would this be the best route to take for a newbie with no personal connections?

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Everyone,

I am aspiring to become a real estate investor in the Houston, TX area.  I joined BP to get a clearer picture on how to start.  My focus will be on flips, and wholesale properties.  I hope to find out more information  to help me through my transition.  I am extremely excited and look forward to gaining as much knowledge as possible.

Take Care
