That's exactly what I would have expected.  You can't expect to walk right into a turn key house at $19k . I would assume everything needs replacing especially the drywall at the very least. That place has plenty of potential, you could turn a decent profit.

I'm looking for a good website or app to find off market real estate, foreclosures etc. I am also in search of a place to locate assumable mortage properties. Thank you

Greetings to the BP group. I am from northwest Florida and very green to real estate investing. I have been listening to various audio books on investing for the past week (6-7hrs) a day. I'm not entirely sure as to which niche to start in. I was considering fix and flips to start out with. I'd like to maximize my income stream somewhat quickly (5-10yrs) while also obtaining monthly cash flow properties. I am somewhat concerned about the current housing market. Is it still possible to achieve success in this current market condition? I am looking to connect with other investors and form strong relationships. I am open to any ideas on how to get started. Thank you in advance.
