@Al D.,

When you say it like, that it makes a little more sense. I didn’t think it all the way through, with regard to how easy it would be to fabricate “reviews” by populating with anonymous email addresses. And I suppose the short post would be a bit of a red flag if you’re looking at messages in aggregate. Rest assured I am a real person, just new here and figuring things out.
I did get a chuckle from your response, at the expense of your online ego, so thanks for that. I suppose, in summary, my experience with Morris Invest has been fine thus far, though your mileage may vary. As always, let’s perform our due diligence and continue to help out others in our community. 👍🏻

@Al D.

You’re right about being new here, and thanks for taking the time to comment. I understand the role of these forums, and I did conduct my own research over the process of many months before deciding to invest in this manner. No doubt many others have done so, with varying impressions and results. My intention isn’t to solicit business for anyone, but rather to learn and build my portfolio and knowledge along with the leveraged experience of this community.

It’s comforting to know you take a serious approach to your responsibility as a contributor here. I don’t think the dig at my level of research or “brave” was necessary, but I’ll assume it comes from a place of wanting to help and teach rather than self-esteem. So in that regard I thank you. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, which will come with its own share of mistakes. No doubt I’ll have plenty of them to make in the years to come.

@Al D.,

Yup the same. They’re building turnkey rentals in west Texas and I believe some other markets as well. They were very easy to deal with.

Turnkey new construction long term rental in Lubbock, TX

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Ease of working with a turnkey operator

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Morris Invest podcast

How did you finance this deal?

Solo401k

How did you add value to the deal?

I provided the funds :)

What was the outcome?

The house was rented before we even closed. So far so good!

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Solo401k investing is fantastic!

Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Morris Invest is the company that sold me the rental. They were easy to deal with, though we did have to delay closing a number of times but I believe this to be more a matter of circumstance than their fault.
