Hi everyone,

I'm considering making my first multi family property investment in the Midwest. I already own two newer SFRs in the US West but the MFR I am considering is around 125 years old. I have very limited to no experience with buildings that old. Obviously I would conduct thorough inspections but just trying to pick everybody's brains on what to look out for and what are common issues with homes that old so I can be somewhat prepared. Thanks everyone in advance.

Hello all,

looking for some advice and opinions here in regards to potential investment markets for multi family properties.  I have about $500k in a 1031 exchange account that I'd like to invest. Priority is obviously cash flow and gross monthly rent should be somewhere in the $4500-5000 range.  Currently looking at Albuquerque, Indianapolis and Nashville but open to other ideas. Not looking for a major fixer upper.  Thank you all in advance for your comments and advice.

I own a single family residential property (4/3) in Las Vegas. I've owned the property since 2010 and owe a little less than $100k. I have a 30yr fixed rate mortgage with a 4.75% rate. The rent income covers all my cost and I make a few hundred $ extra as profit. I'm debating whether or not to pay off my mortgage or use the money as downpayment for another investment property. Appreciate opinions and thoughts. Thank you!

@Julie Dillon Thank you for your message. What local market were you referring to?

Hello,

I'm fairly new to BP and appreciate all the information on this platform.  I live in CA and currently own a single family home here as well as two single family rentals in Las Vegas and Colorado Springs. I'm looking to buy a duplex or fourplex in 2020 and would like to get some ideas / recommendations regarding cities and neighborhoods. Ideally I don't want to spend more than $400-500k and would like to avoid extensive renovations. Thank you in advance for your opinions.
