Thank you so much everyone that replied on my last post and shared wisdom. It truly means a lot.

There’s debate whether joining a mastermind is a good or bad idea. I ended up joining one with a local syndicator. The challenge at hand is creating an email list of 100 people (possible investors). The emails will contain educational content as well as future investment opportunities. How would you recommend growing a list of possible investors to someone that has 11 and any tips on how to become the trusted “real estate guy/gal” in their community.

Very respectfully,

Jensen Escobar

Quote from @E. C. "Stony" Stonebraker:

@Jensen Escobar, the best way to learn is by doing, of course.  I'm not sure how you are learning, but one good source is a video underwriting course from an online school like Udemy.  I like some courses by Symon He, but there are plenty of others you should check out to see if you like them.  Another option is to buy the book "The Definitive Guide to Underwriting Multifamily Acquisition..." by my friend, Rob Beardsley.  He has a free underwriting model, too.  See https://lscre.com/the-definiti...     Good luck to you!

Thank you so much for the response! I just finished the underwriting course on Udemy! It was a short yet very knowledge compact course that cleared up a lot of questions I had. I shall look more into the other ones you mentioned! Thank you!

Hi Mr. Adams. Thank you so much for replying to my question. I would love to learn the process and all the struggles it comes with. I will be using the Joe Fairless unwriting model (the simplified version). I don’t know if that will do. As for the underwriting how do you know when it is accurate and good enough to execute?

Good afternoon BP! This is my first post ever here. My post might make you cringe but I am 22 years old, active duty military and I am looking to syndicate someday. At the moment I am learning how to underwrite in order to provide value to someone already in the industry so I can someday get into it myself. Underwriting proved itself to be harder than I thought and I am struggling because I have no structure to my learning or know how to go about it which is why I come to you all. Where is the great place where an average joe like myself can learn how to underwrite deals? I am open to all ideas. Thank you!

Very respectfully,

Jensen Escobar
